Daily Mileage: 0
We pulled into Santa Fe yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon. It was long (slow) haul through Texas and then part of New Mexico. Usually, I would love the roads we are traveling, but that would be when I am driving something far more aerodynamic and performance-oriented. Driving, what we affectionately refer to as the “pig,” down the highways of Northern Texas and New Mexico, where the speed limit is 75 and we have trouble maintaining 65 is a bit hair-raising. It’s not normal to be passed by trucks pulling 6-horse trailers, RV’s (towing Jeeps), and big 18-wheelers. I actually like it when the semi’s pass us because if I time it just right, I can draft them for a bit and back off on the throttle as we get pulled along in the slipstream.

We have held up here yesterday and today, enjoying a few hours off the road, and the hospitality of Santa Fe. After a few hours working this morning, while the kids enjoyed the pool and sport courts, we headed out and explored historic SF.
While I enjoyed the history and architecture, I think it was lost on the boys.
Since this post is a few days old and was never published I am going to cut this one off short and move on to more recent activities.
